In Need of Help

I feel like I'm lost and can't find my way. I wrote a children's book in hopes that I could sell enough books to support myself. I've tried everything I can think of to get my book "out there."

My home is badly in need of repair. Now to top that off I have a water leak in the front of my home and the water department says it's my responsibility.  Now I'm looking at a cost of $3,000. to $10,000 to repair this water problem.

I have a GoFundMe page which makes me feel bad to think I have to ask people I don't know for help. I have always done things on my own. I would help others if I could.

I have a three year old and a newborn living with me along with my daughter. I have lived without water for a while before and I can do it again. I just don't know how to get through this. I have a loan for my car which I use to get back and forth to work and I can't get a loan for this problem. I am between a rock and a hard place.

If you think you can spare a dollar or two I would be grateful. Thank you!

Controled Rant

I have an idea! I think parents of "Special Needs" children should be working in schools as "paraprofessionals."  Paraprofessionals are what we used to call teachers aides. I have seen my share of these so called professionals it would make your head spin.

Some special needs children aren't able to let anyone know when they are in pain, upset, hurt, hungry, happy, or if they need to use the toilet. Some of these special children drool, spit, scratch, hit, and bite, that is the only way they have to communicate.

Some parents of these children are better able to cope with this behavior than other people.  Don't get me wrong I have seen some "aides" that treat the kids they work with the right way, as human beings. All it takes is one or two bad ones to make everyone look bad. I find myself watching everyone and everything. I can't seem to stop myself from watching. When I see something I don't like I do my best to fix it, even if it is just a look I give them. What can one person do? Good question isn't it? I wish I had the answer.

How do we as human beings fix the problems we see on a daily basis? Maybe it's not so much fixing things, but treating others as we would want to be treated. Could it be so simple? I think it is.

If these people that work with special needs kids had a child or grand child treated like some of these kids are treated, what would they do?

That is the end of my rant... For now!

How to Get Your Child to Read More, Remember More of What They Have Read, and Use Their Creative Mind With, Add Your Own Art Children's Books

Do you read to your kids? Do you think reading to them is an easy way to get them to relax before bedtime? Or... Do you just like to spend time with them quietly doing something you both love to do?

Do you like to color with your kids? I have written a book that you can read and color. It is proven that when a child reads and draws/colors about what they read they remember more of what they read about.

While "The Adventures of Billy Chicken Toes & the Wolf" is the first and only book in the "Add Your Own Art Children's Books" line, there are more books coming soon. This book is priced at what the Publisher thinks best. I will be publishing the rest of the books in the "Add Your Own Art Children's Books" line myself, at much cheaper price.
